  • Time to stop neglecting my plant tank

OK. been a while sence I spent any time on my plant tank. Started cycling again and for a while I was pretty serious. and then...

I know, sexy huh! Its actually worse than it looks.

Well I have barely moved any in the last 3 weeks and I don't think I'll be racing for a while so lets get back to the fish/plants.

I still need some nerite snails if anyone has some or knows where to find them.

I need some ideas on scaping the tank. what is it missing? what do I need to move and how do I need to arrange it all?

I'll have (as soon as I replace them) 2x96 PC lights and pressurized CO2 in my 75 gallon

Also, I have a plain old 40 watt aquarium light over it now. It doesn't cover the whole tank and it looks great having an open top! I'd love to have a 75 gallon ADA style with the lights suspended over the tank. I may build something to suspend the lights over the tank and toss the old canopy.

    ouchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......what happened to you?......
as far as the tank goes....it's a matter of preference to the plants i think....but it looks like you have a good start on it.....

I remember crossing my front wheel with someones rear. and I remember sitting up after it happened. not really sure where any of the injurys happend. I can't for the life of me figure how I got that bruise. But check out the bulge on my left leg just below the red spot. It's bigger than it looks and completely numb.

I tried to post a video of alkek velodrome out in katy and I got blocked, said I was attacking the site with a script.

Anyway. I'm thinking of moving the large crypts from the left over to the right and filling out that corner. Then putting some nice red stem plants in the left corner. And though the dwarf sag in the middle is growing in thick it's just kinda boring. I want something more interesting in the front center. I'd love to grow an HC carpet with some petit anubias nana (http://www.aquabotanicstore.com/Peti...na_p/pnana.htm)
          and Pogostemon helferi (http://www.aquabotanicstore.com/Prod...e=Phf&CartID=9)
          Around the borders.

And does anyone have experience with this plant

          Looks great but also difficult.

I'm looking at some pictures at http://www.aquabotanic.com/gallery.htm and I want some help with my hardscape. I love how so many of the tanks have a lot of elevation change in the scape, particularly James Hofteizer. How do they get that change in height like that?
