Well I was bored and decided to attempt a small aquascaping project with rocks. I know its not all that interesting, its my first, but i wanted to show yall and see what yall think. Also maybe get an opinion what kind of fish to add in there. The tank is 5.5g. Enjoy...I plan on doing one to my 29g....lol

        Cool!

I can't tell - any fish in there yet?

If not, I think it might look pretty neat with a small school of small tetras or rasboras or something like that.

Yeah but in a 5.5 you are going to be limited to like 8 Tetra's total...   :) :) :)

Hence the "small" school suggestion...    And there are all those tiny rasbora species out there now, so that's a possibility.

                  Re: Small Rock Aquascape....

What I like about the tank is that I can prolly do the same with my 10g I have..  and I have a trio of Nanochromis parilus and I am thinking I need to setup their own tank for them to let them run around in.  Right now they are in my planted community tank and I would love for them to have their own little tank where they could go live and have fun :) :) :) :)
And what I see here is just looking awesome and I am really thinking maybe this is exactly what I want to do with my setup.

Wow, Thanks for all the postive feedback, Im actually suprised yall are liking it. The rocks did add a little weight, lol.
Im glad to inspire Zulabb for a set-up idea!

The came across when I was researching Aquascaping and Landscaping....so I started doing a saerch on rocks and stuff in my area. I went to a place called Dirt Cheap Mulch, that a variety of rocks for landscaping, so what I did, I took some vingear with me to test the rocks. I only spent $5 for different types of rocks (it was alot of too really cheap, cheaper than a pet store!), brought them home boiled, etc. I had to break them down as you see into smaller pieces but it was really easy.....thanks again for postive feedback

This was part of my inspiration this website, with the slate i got this is what i plan on doing....have a look....Slate Cave...

That tank looks nice.  Is it the one like you can buy at PetCo?  What are the dimensions on it?

The tank I have is a 5.5g, they have a smaller one that is like 2g or 1g, i think they might carry it. I got this one at Aquarium world. It is a 18''x9''. Thanks for liking it, it is really easy to make and really cheap too!
