  • Food ..silly question

Okay I'm a newbie and I'm terribly inquisitive so when things come up I gotta ask.

Is it okay to feed your pet fish, chicken?
Here is the deal. I'm a vegetarian and while out with family I sometimes get orders wrong. I usuallly end up getting chicken when asking for something else as substitute. I usually freeze it for my parents pets. However, I was thinking if they sometimes liked meat i could pulverize it and give them bits. What do you think?
I know it's not ideal but everyone is always talking about how the fish like diversity in what they eat

    not a good idea,

    will pollute water rather quickly

and depending on your filtration, may lead to issues in your tank

I would not do it.  Its most likely cooked using some sort of fat, which alone might cause all sorts of problems for the fish.  They are not good at digesting animal fats.
