  • Site Down Time

So, apparently AOL marked one of our notification emails as spam and reported it to my host, which promptly shut the site down for 2 days....  mmmm, fun times. Sorry guys.

              AOL, the weird never stops.

Well, good to be back. Amazing how fast withdrawal sets in.

Just wanted to thank all of you for texting/calling me over the weekend to let me know HFB was down!! Seriously. It made me realize that I don't have Ken's number, or a way to contact him when I'm at home!!

                  Thanks again.  8)

                    Re: Site Down Time

When Steve Case took over AOL in the early 80's he positioned AOL as the online service for people unfamiliar with computers, in particular contrast to CompuServe, which had long served the technical community.

Inn the late 80's early 90's it was good for Internet chat rooms and BBS's, but its time for most users of AOL to move on with their lives. Its still remains a newbie tool to access the Internet.

                      Re: Site Down Time

Is the notification turned off because of this?  I'm not getting any emails when replies are posted.  I don't use AOL...it's crap, IMO.  Anyone else seeing this?

Also, THANK YOU for getting it back up and running...I sure missed the site!
