          nope no c02....they are thriving off of just what you see there.....and they are doing well....thanks for the compliments everyone...i'll show updates as it really goes into it's own.....

                Could you provide a list of plants you have in there? I can't tell what all of them are.

                  java fern
                  java moss
                  anubia nana
                  vals
                  amazon swords x 2
                  baby tears
                  i have a few others that were given to me by philip but i forgot the names of them....
                  cost approx so far
                  60.00

                    Update your profile with a location.....I usually do trimmings every other week and have some plants I can hand off to you so you can give them a try.

                    Usually a couple of different rotalas and such.

                        fishlady,

                        Any updates on this tank?  I just bought another tank to make planted and really need to stay on a budget.  How big is this tank?  Is it still going w/out Co2?  How many/what type of fish do you have in it? Are the plants thriving?

                          yeah i still have the tank and it's doing great.....i'll take a pic this weekend and get it on here for you to see...and yes it still doesn't have c02 either......but the plants are growing nonetheless....

                            very nice fishlady, i can't wait to have my own planted tank, i am glad to hear that they are doing well w/o CO2, because i was not planning on using that, what is your substrate?
                            65 gallon - ADA 120p - planted
                            55 gallon - AGA standard - mix cichlid
                            30 gallon tall - eclipse acrylic - semi-planted

                              Depending on fish stocking, plant requirements etc. will tell if you need co2 or not but anything will do better with it.

                              Also plants don't die overnight and time will tell what they are lacking.
