  • Sexing Bolivian Rams

Can anybody here sex some rams?  I have 3 Bolivian rams and because sometimes they nip at each other when I feed them, I'm starting to believe that they are all males Sad  Please help.

Both the dorsal extensions and the filaments of the lyre-shaped tail fin are much longer in males than in females. Also, males are the much larger of the species. And don't look for the tell tale pink underbelly of Venezualan female rams...there isnt one. Hope this helps.

They all have pink on their tails and underbelly and all.  does that mean they are all males?

Pink on their belly usually means there female.

should the females be aggressive towards each other during feeding?
