  • Suicidal Amano Shrimp?

I've heard of Amano Shrimp committing suicide.  Has anybody noticed this happening?

When the water conditions aren't to their liking they make a move for it. Amano's crawl like crawfish and don't flap helplessly like normal shrimp do.

When I caught mine out the bag they crawled up my arm like roaches but I haven't found any on the floor yet.

I think my only amano finally got eaten today by my dojo loach...he loves ghost shrimp...but I think he finally caught the big guy.

        That's a shame, Strike2.  I hope he's just hiding!

Mine constantly jump.  Gotta have a tight lid.

I have read they do that when they don't like their tank, mine are in an open top tank and so far so good.

My planted tank is perfect in regards to water conditions.  The only thought is that the B. sidthimunki drive them out.
