    Hello all,
I'm Chris, and I go to high school in Mckinney
My tank is a 10 gal, I've had it for a few years now(but still seem to be making plenty of noob mistakes, but hey, you live you learn, right?).  Currently this tank is holding 4 fancy goldfish(a mistake, I know, look at my post under the goldfish and ponds section), a zebra danio(im thinking I'll add in some more if I can remove the goldfish to a better home), and a yellow striped fish(a Cichlid, maybe?).  I've got my eye on a 28gal bowfront at petsmart, but that's after I buy my next drumset(another highly addictive hobby that I have).
    Glad to be here,
    Chris

    Hi chris,

I just replied to your other post, i didnt realise you had other fish in with the 4 goldfish. To keep all the fish you currently have you probably want at least a 55g. I dont know what type of cichlid you have but it may not get along with its tankmates.

Actually, the little guy I suspect to be a cichlid is getting along great with the other fish.  He did get a little nippy with a betta that used to be in there, but after the betta was taken out of the tank, he became pretty peaceful.

not right now, I'll try to get one up over this weekend.  Will I have to use a photo hosting site to host the photo before I post it?

          Thanks,
          Chris

                    Re: New guy

Here's a pic of the suspect fish.  I thought he might be a little cichlid fry, but now im starting to doubt it.  These pics don't really do his coloration justice, he's really vivid in person.

think the common name is bumblebee cichlid or something like that.

googled it for you but I'm not positive on the I.D.

I agree with eklikewhoa that it is a bumblebee cichlid.  Everything I've read says between 5-8 inches and pretty aggressive.  You could upgrade your tank or trade him for something more suitable for your tank.  If you call some shops in your area you can ask if they do trades for your type of cichlid.  Or you could put him up for sale here.
