  • Marimo balls!

    Does anyone else keep these?  I just bought one today.  Village Tropical Fish has some.

        I've got several of them.  Fish-r-us on 242 seems to keep them in stock at I think it was 4.99 each.  Others I've gotten online (for less until you add shipping).  The bubble wall in the back of my bigger tank makes them do big loops from the front to back of my tank.  More than once I've caught my blue crays clinging to them as they ride them like a roller coaster with the ball spinning as it makes the loops.  They seem to have a blast doing this.

        I imagine the shrimp like them cause they're actually an algae, they can nibble while they play king of the hill!

                    I have one that was pretty big so i split it, it has been prety slow to grow back.
