  • Actinic lighting

It came with my fixture, so I replaced it with daylights, but now what to do with it?  So I'm wondering ... is there any benefit from using actinic blues with freshwater systems?  Or more importantly are there any negatives?  What if I only used them at night instead of the the led lunar lights ... or am I just going to have to wait till I get the courage to do a saltwater tank to find some use for it?

    Thanks

It brings out more color in ANY fish, but looks best when combined with a natural white.

i have a 50/50 compact coralife bulb on my 60 planted and i really brings out some of the colors in my threadfin rainbows, and my red blue columbian tetras. i have had a slight alge problem but not major, probably mroe caused by the tank being up only a month and not enough plants to soak up all the ammonia and nitrogen compounds.
