    Hello, everyone.
My name is John Jolley and I'm addicted to tropheus. I currently keep the following: a 150 gallon tropheus red rainbow tank, a 140 gallon tropheus mpulungu tank, a 92 gallon tropheus chimba red tank and a 150 gallon frontosa mpimbwe tank. As you can see, I prefer Lake Tanganyika over Lake Malawi. I would have more tropheus tanks, but I just don't have anymore room. And I prefer one species per tank. I currently have a lot of chimba red and mpulungu fry. The red rainbow have only been with me for a couple of weeks. I purchased them as wild caughts from Bluechip Aquatics. Oh, I forgot to mention that I have 4 wild caught petros with my red rainbows. Well, that's about it. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,
    John

I don't think there is a way to upload them but you can link to your fish pictures that are elsewhere on the net.

You can upload a 100x100 jpeg for an avitar.

                  Howdy
yep, yep, yep chicklids kind of remind me of those cute little teady bears after they get wet........ grimlins...
yep,  yep with those 2 sets of jaws that go from ear to ear and a bottomless stomach.....
                   yep
'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Welcome John, I envy you.  I would love a tropheus tank.  That is one of my goals before the end of the year.  They are just so dang expensive and I've come to find out delicate.

How long have you had them?  Since fry?

                      Re: another new member

houstonfishbox, does the site have software that will automatically resize the pictures or must we do that before we upload?

phishpreek, there is some truth to your statement. funny nonetheless.

thanks, raul. I've had tropheus a long time. I started out with a colony of duboisi fry. I grew them out, bred them and sold them. Tropheus are expensive and delicate. But that is what these forums are for. You can find members with fry (for cheap) and knowledge/experience to help you along the way.

got to go start those water changes. been watching tv during this time. I'll check back later.
