It's really very simple.  Good soil, strong light, Co2 and fertilzer.  If you're interested we have a club in Houston for planted tank enthusiast called NASH (Nature Aquarium Society of Houston).  A planted tank as an Art Form.

Yes,  I use the ADA substrate.  It's called Amazonia.  You can get it from ADG here in Houston.  For more info call me.
